Sanatan Hindu (“the app”) is a devotion app for daily blessings, tithi, rashifal, and Bhagavad Gita reading. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Android package: com.sanatanhindu.

1. Who we are

The app is operated under the name Sanatan Hindu. For questions about this policy, email the address above or use the contact details on our Google Play listing.

2. Information we collect

Account. If you choose Continue with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo (if Google provides it). We store name and email against your user ID so the app can show your profile.

Guest. If you continue as a guest, we may create an anonymous sign-in so the app can work. We do not receive your Google name or email until you sign in.

Preferences on the device. Language, rashi, Gita reading position, and whether daily reminders are on are saved on your phone.

Content. Blessing posts, calendar days, and home content are loaded from our servers. We do not treat your reading of public scripture as a personal profile we sell.

Device and diagnostics. Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Cloud Messaging) may process device identifiers, app version, crash or usage events, and a push token so we can run the app and understand stability.

Advertising. We show Google AdMob ads (banners, interstitials, app-open, and rewarded ads before some actions such as wallpaper or saving an image). Google and its partners may collect advertising identifiers and similar data to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where allowed.

Features you start. Setting a wallpaper or saving an image happens on your device. Sharing to WhatsApp sends only what you choose to share. We do not upload your wallpaper or gallery saves to our servers.

3. How we use information

To sign you in, show your profile, and let you delete the account. To deliver blessings, tithi, rashifal, and Gita content. To send daily reminder notifications if you turn them on. To show ads that support the app. To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Gita reading or rashi choice to sell you products.

4. Who we share with

Google (Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Analytics for Firebase, AdMob, and Google Play services) processes data as our service providers under their own policies. If you share content to WhatsApp or another app, that app’s policy applies to what you send. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Your choices

Sign out from Profile. Delete account from Profile (signed-in users). This signs you out and requests removal of your profile data we store for this app. Ads and Google account data held by Google are governed by Google. Turn daily reminders off in Profile. You can also revoke notification permission in Android settings. Reset advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in Android settings. Guest users can later sign in with Google from Profile.

6. Children

The app is a general devotion product and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such data, email us so we can delete it.

7. Data retention

Account profile data is kept while your account exists. After you delete the account, we remove the profile we store, except where we must keep limited records for security or law. Device preferences remain until you clear app data or uninstall. Anonymous guest sessions may be discarded when you sign out.

8. Security and international processing

We use Google’s infrastructure. Data may be processed in India and other countries where Google operates. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.

9. Indian users

If you are in India, we process personal data to provide the app you asked for, and where needed with consent (for example Google Sign-In and notifications). You may request access or deletion as described above.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. Permissions (Android)

Internet — load content, sign-in, ads. Set wallpaper — only when you ask. Notifications — daily blessing reminder if you enable it. Boot completed / wake lock — restore the reminder after restart.
